Troubleshooting Graphing Options 

The individual graphs can be turned on or off from this screen.  The Clock Drift and Current Settings graphs display data since you last started ClockWatch. The Previous Settings graph shows historical data since ClockWatch was installed.

The Graphics Server is a shared common control used by Windows programs to display charts. If you don't want to see the Graphics Server on your taskbar, turn off the graphs in ClockWatch by un-checking the Display Graphs option on the Graphs option tab.

Troubleshooting Client Options

The Client Options specify if ClockWatch Server will listen for Clients and, if so, will specify the port and protocol it uses.

Clients Fail to Contact Server

· Check the licensing of the Server (see the "Exceeds License" message below).

· Check the address specified on the timeserver tab of the Client (run ipconfig from the DOS command line on the Server to determine the Server's IP address).

  • · Check that the port and the protocol are the same on both the Server and Client.

· Check the communication (ping from the Client to the Server using the address).

· Check that the port is available for use (run netstat -a from the DOS command line on both client and server for a listing of TCP and UDP ports currently in use).

Clients get "Exceeds license" message
