Call Log / Dialer

This form starts the dialing process and logs the time, number and comments of a call the call log.


  Name ID

Name ID from main contact screen (system generated). 

  Call ID 

The ID assigned to this call (system generated). 

  Number

Number you are calling. If you want to call a different number than the one listed for the contact, enter it here. It will be saved with the call log, but will not change the number in the main contact database,

  Contact

Name of person you are calling or actually end up talking with. It will be saved with the call log, but will not change the contact name in the main contact database.

  Access Code

Long distance access code of long distance carrier selected for this call. The access code is chosen by the user or selected automatically after the Dial button is pressed.

  Work

Select to use the work number from the contact database.

  Home

Select to use  the home number from the contact database..


  Modem Port

This control specifies which modem to use selected by the COM port it is attached to. This modem should have a phone connected through it for talking. See Using Modems with CallWatch for more information.

1.  Use modem on COM 1, the first serial port.
2.  Use modem on COM 2, the second serial port.
3
  Use modem on COM 3, the third serial port.
4  Use modem on COM 4, the fourth serial port.

5  Use modem on COM 5, the fifth serial port.

None Don't use a modem to call. Use this setting if you want CallWatch to find the long distance carrier or want to log a conversation or event without CallWatch dialing a telephone number through the modem. With the 'None' setting CallWatch will return the access code in the access code field and then time and log the call for you.
